Alloway Urges Local Educators to Participate in Project WILD

HARRISBURG – Senator Richard Alloway II (R-33) is encouraging local educators to participate in the Project WILD program offered by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

The program allows teachers to take part in educational workshops and share this information with their students. The workshops focus on wildlife and the environment and how humans interrelate with both. The program also helps educators comply with mandates of the No Child Left Behind Act.

"Project WILD helps ensure the next generation of Pennsylvania leaders have a deep respect and appreciation for our natural resources," said Alloway, who chairs the Senate Game and Fisheries Committee. "I encourage local educators to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about conservation so they can pass on the importance of protecting our wildlife resources to our students."

More information on the Project Wild program is available online at www.pgc.state.pa.us.
