94th PA Farm Show Opens Friday
HARRISBURG – Senator Richard Alloway II (R-33) is urging
district residents to attend the 2010 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg to
learn more about the agriculture community and enjoy some of the state’s finest
food and entertainment.
The 94th Pennsylvania Farm Show will open on Friday with
the PA Preferred Reception from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Farm Show Complex and
Expo Center on Cameron Street in Harrisburg. The Farm Show is scheduled for
January 9-16 from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. with the final day’s activities concluding
at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
"The PA Farm Show offers all individuals an opportunity to
learn about one of the state’s most important industries and enjoy the best food
and entertainment the state has to offer," Alloway said. "I would like to wish
our local exhibitors, vendors and competitors the best of luck in this year’s
Farm Show, and I look forward to seeing what they have to offer."
The Pennsylvania Farm Show is the largest indoor
agricultural event in the country. More than 400,000 attendees and 270
commercial exhibitors are expected for this year’s event, and more than 10,000
competitive exhibitors will compete for more than $561,000 in prize money.
