2009 Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Conference Convenes Wednesday

HARRISBURG – Breast cancer survivors and advocates can take part in the 2009 Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Conference in Harrisburg on Wednesday, according to Senator Richard Alloway II (R-33).

The conference will take place at the Harrisburg Hilton from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The event will feature workshops to discuss subjects including breast radiation therapy, genetic testing, emerging treatments and survivor care plans. A continental breakfast will also be served until 9 a.m.

"We have made great strides in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment in recent years, and this conference brings together some of the foremost cancer experts to discuss some of the most important issues concerning this terrible disease," Alloway said. "This conference will allow survivors, medical professionals and others to learn more and do their part to work toward a cure."

Individuals can receive more information on the conference by calling Kim Eubanks at 1-800-377-8828, extension 104, or visiting http://www.pabreastcancer.org/conf.html.
